The HDL Idea.... A group of friends started a culture that they coined The HDL or The High Desert Lifestyle. Though 100% of the friends were from many different areas, they enjoyed the particulars of what the Reno area had to offer. They could literally snowboard and play golf on the same day. They could watch a white water kayak competition in the middle of town. And they of course could all meet at one of the many bar and grills that were so prolific in the area and enjoy a cold pint. Like all great things, The High Desert Lifestyle had to come to an end as an economy destroyed much of what the friends enjoyed and many of them were forced to move out of the area. Ironically, the three cornerstones of The HDL all moved back to my childhood home in Cali and thus a dream that I thought had died may have a new start. Though living in Reno is no longer an option, the particulars the friends enjoyed can still happen and be realized. Thus The Huber Dream Lifestyle is born from the ashes. Welcome to a new beginning of The HDL.
